Secure cloud foundations
Accounts, governance, IAM, security boundaries, and network design.
A modular guide to AWS foundations, application services, data platforms, AI, security, and operations. Explore how services fit together, follow official AWS references, and build integrations with the AWS SDK for .NET.
Learn service families in dependency order. Each expandable part includes core topics and implementation direction. The catalog focuses on commonly used AWS services; product names and capabilities evolve, so use the official service references before deployment.
Accounts, governance, IAM, security boundaries, and network design.
Compute, containers, object and block storage, databases, and caches.
Event-driven systems, analytics, Amazon Bedrock, and SageMaker AI.
Observability, delivery, migration, hybrid connectivity, and IoT.
Scope: AWS has a large service catalog. This curriculum covers major service families and practical architecture paths; it is not an exhaustive inventory of every service, feature, region, or SKU.
Search by service or capability. Expand a chapter to review topics, a .NET implementation pattern, and the official AWS documentation.
No matching services. Try a shorter query or service family.
Use the SDK credential and Region provider chains. In AWS, assign least-privilege IAM permissions to workload roles instead of placing long-lived credentials in source code.
Credential reminder: new AmazonS3Client() uses the SDK's configured credential and Region resolution. Configure local profiles for development and use an execution role, task role, or instance profile for deployed workloads.
Use the default AWS SDK credential chain and an IAM role with only the required S3 permissions.
Supply resource names and Regions through configuration. Add cancellation, validation, error handling, logging, and least-privilege policies before production use.
Use the service-specific links in each chapter together with these AWS indexes and current SDK references.
AWS service iconography comes from the official AWS Architecture Icons package and is shown with nearby product names in educational architecture diagrams. AWS permits the icons in architecture diagrams and materials such as whitepapers, presentations, data sheets, and posters. See the linked icon guidance for current use terms.
